Partner Universities Involved:
What is the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Erasmus +?
Erasmus+ mobility programme (2021–2027) offers a new, more flexible student and staff mobility. Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) combines physical mobility with a virtual part which aims to achieve a transnational and collaborative online learning exchange and teamwork. BIP courses have an added value compared to existing programmes or courses. They are short-term study modules (3 ECTS per BIP course) that offer the opportunity to participate also to those students who cannot complete a long-term mobility.
Project Aims:
The project, coordinated by the International School for Linguistic Mediation (SSML) in Benevento (Italy), is based on Goals 4 and 5 of the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development: “Achieve Gender Equality and Empower Women and Girls”; “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.
University students will be involved in seminar lessons and workshops in presence and online. They will be working in mixed groups, from all the partner institutions involved, to develop a project work focused on the BIP courses. To develop a thorough understanding ofthe issues of gender equality and diversity opportunities in education, lessons, seminars, and instructed visits will be mainly focused on the importance of valuing minority languages at any level of instruction, the “glass-ceiling” phenomenon in academia, and women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) disciplines. The aim is to achieve a higher level of inclusivity and sustainability in education, under different points of view, to promote cultural and linguistic awareness and to finally demolish gender, linguistic, and social barriers.
